Pharmaceutics

INDUSTRIAL PHARMACY LABORATORY:
This laboratory is equipped with the state of art equipment and machinery required for impartment used in mfg. of pharmaceutical dosage forms like tablets, capsules, ointment, liquid orals, parenterals, novel drug delivery systems, packaging science etc.

PHARMACEUTICS LAB, 1,2,AND 3 :
This well furnished laboratories cater to the practical requirements of the subjects technologies of Drugs and Cosmetics, Biological Pharmaceuticals, Pharmaceutics, Dispensing pharmacy, Pharmaceutical engineering and unit operations.

Pharmachemistry

PHARMACEUTICAL CHEMISTRY LABORATORYI AND II
These well furnished laboratories provide facility for practical training in p'ceutical medicinal chemistry, synthesis and structural elucidation of medicinally important compounds, practical training is also offered in organic chemistry, biochemistry and inorganic chemistry with well designed experiments.

PHARMACEUTICAL ANALYSIS LABORATORY
Elaborate phrmacopoial methods are used for the analysis and quality control of drugs and pharmaceuticals. This laboratory helps students familiarize with the modern methods of analysis and Good Laboratory Practice (GLPs) etc.

SOPHISTICATED INSTRUMENTS LABORATORY
Equipped with the latest state-of-art analytical instruments, this laboratory assists the students to acquire hands-on-training on these instruments , to undertake practical training in pharmaceutical and analytical chemistry and assist research work.

Pharmacology

Pharmacology Lab - I and Advanced Pharmacology Laboratory :
These well equipped laboratories help to train the students in practical studies of anatomy, physiology and health education, pharmacology and chemotherapy, bioassays of various drugs, etc. The advanced pharmacology laboratory is specially designed to carry out animal model experiments for analgesic, anti-histaminic, anti-pyretic, anti-hepatotoxic, anti-ulcer, anti-inflammatory activity testing og known and new drugs of chemical and herbal origin.


Pharmacognosy

Pharmacognosy Lab I and Advanced Pharmacognosy laboratory:
Studies on drugs from herbal origin is increasing day by day. These laboratories assist the students acquire skills of identification, morphological and microscopical studies, isolation, estimation, pharmacological uses and formulation aspects of various medicinal and aromatic plants of traditional value. Special facilities have been created to impart training in tissue culture techniques.
